Skweezer Public API

This document will help you link to Skweezer from a Web site in order to mobilize your outgoing links from within your Web page. By using straightforward XHTML, your user will pass from your site to Skweezer seamlessly without the need for any additional software or hardware integration.

Linking to Skweezer

You may want to link to Skweezer in order to mobilize outgoing links. The entry page to link to is s.aspx, as in this example: http://www.skweezer.com/s.aspx. There are several parameters that must be appended to the base URL, all properly URL encoded where necessary:

Parameter Required Description
q yes URL of the page to mobilize
i no images on (1) or off (0); default is on
f no the word(s) set to Skweezer's Find-in-Page Searchâ„¢
(separate multiple words with a "+")
h no the word(s) to highlight in a page
(separate multiple words with a "+")
l no the language of the Skweezer footer; possible values:

  • de (German)
  • en (English, default)
  • es (Spanish)
  • fr (French)
  • it (Italian)
  • ja (Japanese)
  • pt (Portuguese)


The following parameter is only applicable to Skweezer Private Label customers

Parameter Required Description
r yes the referring URL; only available for private-label implementations


Link Example

Skweezer URL mobilizes web content using the following elements, each on its own line for readability:

The following elements are only applicable to Skweezer Private Label customers

private label id <your_private_label>/ yes Placed between "skweezer.com/" and "s.aspx"
(example: http://www.skweezer.net/your_private_label/s.aspx)
return page &r= no link back to your home/landing page


As an example, the following URL skweezes the Geico.com website, with images allowed, setting a find in page term to "motorcycle", highlighting the word "insurance", and displaying the footer language in Japanese. (click to view):
